Monache Band Is Awesome Part 2

I thought I'd post again today. Do something happier than from this morning.

So yep I loved being in the Monache Band. Our band traveled a lot. How many people can say their high school marching band has been to Europe, Canada, Hawaii (not once but twice), New York for the Macy's Parade, Florida for the Orange Bowl parade, San Diego Chargers football game, The Rose Parade (I was disappointed - Mr. A said he'd never do this again and decided after I had graduated that he'd take the band. I soooo wanted to march in that parade), Hollywood Christmas Parade, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, the Olympics, and countless other places. I do have to say that I believe the Monache trip to Hawaii was mild in comparison to the Tulare Union trip (at least that's what I've been told - apparently they all party with the cows in Tulare lol). And you didn't want to do Europe on Monache Band pace - something like 14 countries in 10 days - or 12 countries in 14 days. Basically they were country hopping lol

Here is a picture from 1986 when the band went to Hawaii the first time. They had adventures. Huge layover, percussion equipment got lost (brand new equipment that was only a year old), and when they got in they had two hours to change and get ready for the Aloha Bowl.

Here is the band in hell on friggin' earth
